Towards a thrilling Sunday showdown, West Ham claimed a convincing 3-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, propelled by a stellar performance from Mohammed Kudus. The Ghanaian sensation scored two amazing goals, showcasing his ability to take his team to another level. With this win, West Ham climbs to seventh place in the Premier League standings with 27 points.

The Hammers’ made their triumph very clear in the early minutes of the game with a beautiful display of attack and counter-attack. The breakthrough moment arrived in the 22nd minute when Lucas Paqueta, orchestrating a counter from a Wolves corner, set up Kudus perfectly. The Ghanaian’s precise finish from outside the area put West Ham in the lead.

Kudus continued to shine, doubling the lead just four minutes later. Another pinpoint pass from Paqueta allowed Kudus to navigate through the Wolves defense, sliding a shot past the keeper into the far corner. This brace brought Kudus’ league goal tally to five for the season, adding to his midweek success in the Europa League where their 2-0 win against SC Freiburg put West Ham on top of the group.

Although Wolves had their chances, including a notable effort from Matheus Cunha that forced a diving save from Lukasz Fabianski, they were unable to breach West Ham’s defense. A disallowed goal in the 58th minute further dashed Wolves’ hopes, as Pablo Sarabia was ruled offside when tapping in Nelson Semedo’s pass.

But the home side wrapped up the win in the 74th minute with Jarrod Bowen displaying exceptional teamwork with Paqueta. A well-executed one-two allowed Bowen to navigate down the right, overcoming defensive pressure from Craig Dawson and slotting the ball past the keeper to secure the 3-0 win.

And with this victory, West Ham moved up to seventh position in the Premier League, above Manchester United on goal difference and ahead of Brighton & Hove Albion, who suffered a defeat 2-0 against Arsenal. The Hammers’ impressive performance in both league and in Europe definitely puts them on the list of formidable contenders this season.
